SIDE SLITS:
This option is specifically created to enable you to play the piano without the need to remove the entire cover. Positioned above the front legs on each side of the piano cover, the slits allow pianists to easily fold back the front portion for access. Perfect for pianists who practice frequently.

CUSTOM EMBROIDERY:
Your piano cover becomes a true work of art with Custom Embroidery, showcasing the name of your piano. Choose between Gold or Silver thread, each adding a touch of elegance and sophistication.
You can have the name embroidered on the front of the cover above the keyboard, or opt for embroidery on the side, perfect for pianos that grace a stage, in a studio or a prominent place in your home. Or for a truly standout statement, personalize your cover in both positions. This option turns your piano into a stunning centerpiece—customized and refined.

LOCKING STRAPS with 'D' RINGS:
The straps are securely sewn onto the cover, and are designed to be pulled together underneath the piano where the 'D' rings meet. You then put a lock through the 'D' rings. (Lock not included)
Generally used for protection to dissuade people from getting into the piano.  Sold as a set.
Locking straps only work with standard length covers.

FULL LENGTH COVER:
Our Full Length option for grand piano covers offers enhanced protection by extending all the way to the floor, fully enclosing the sides and legs of the piano. This added coverage is especially beneficial in high-traffic or busy environments such as schools, churches, and performance venues, where the risk of accidental bumps, scuffs, or spills is higher.
Please note: Full length covers cannot be made with locking straps.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR PIANO.
Measure in a straight line from the farthest end at the back curve, across the closed lid to in FRONT of the keys. Sometimes it's easier to measure the entire length of the piano from underneath.

1. How do I know the piano cover will fit perfectly?

Each cover is made to the exact factory specifications for your brand and size. For example, a Steinway Model M 5'7" is cut differently than a Kawai GE-2 5’7”. You just select your brand and length from the dropdown — we do the pattern matching. If we do not have the template for your piano listed, you can choose from our Covers by Size which is a generic fitting cover or we offer at no extra cost, custom made covers. We will provide detailed instructions to measure your piano and how to make a paper template along with the address to mail it.

2. What piano fabrics do you offer and which is best?

We offer many different fabrics for different needs. Each material is lined with soft backing material to protect the finish on your piano. Mackintosh fabric whether flat (non-padded) or quilted is a cotton canvas outer material and is recommended for high traffic areas or for protection. Our vinyl fabric is water-repellent and easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. We offer two quilted fabrics; Top of the Line Nylon quilted and Quilted Padded Mackintosh. Each of these fabrics has the same look with 4” square of quilting and ˝” of padding between the layers. Top of the Line Nylon quilted has a soft sheen exterior and is perfect home use or a low traffic area. Quilted Padded Mackintosh has a matte finish, and is the preferred choice for high traffic public areas. You can view our fabrics from the Link Above.

3. Do I need Side Slits on my grand piano cover?

Side slits are small openings on the sides that allow you to play the piano without removing the entire cover. If you play daily, we strongly recommend adding Side Slits ($65). If your piano is primarily for display or in a low-use room like a formal living room or school auditorium, you can save by choosing No Side Slits.

4. Can you embroider my piano brand name on the cover?

Yes. We can embroider your piano brand (e.g., Steinway & Sons, Yamaha, Baldwin) in gold or silver thread on the front, side, or both. Front embroidery is visible when the cover is on, side embroidery is visible from the audience. Most customers choose Gold Front Embroidery. Embroidery is custom-done here in the USA.

5. Will a cover protect against sunlight, dust, and humidity?

In a word ‘Yes’.  No matter where you have your piano, dust can accumulate both on the exterior and inside of your piano. Over time, residue on the wood or lacquer finish can be abrasive.  Even regular cleaning can inadvertently scratch the surface. A cover minimizes dust accumulation, protecting both the exterior and interior components.  A Grand Piano Action Cover will also protect the inside of your piano when you like to keep the lid up, including tuning pins, hammers, dampers and strings..

6. I have kids and pets — will this protect my piano?

Absolutely. This is our #1 request. The cover protects against sticky fingers, toy impacts, pet hair, cat claws, and accidental spills (like cup rings). The vinyl fabric can be wiped clean. For high-traffic areas like churches, schools, and hotels, we recommend adding Locking Straps or selecting the Length-to-the-Floor option for full protection.

7. How do I clean the piano cover?

Do not machine wash. Simply wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. For dust, use a soft brush or vacuum with an upholstery attachment. The water-repellent exterior makes spills easy to clean before they reach the finish. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

8. How long to make and how does shipping work?

Each cover is custom handcrafted in the USA to order. Depending on the options selected it will take approximately 10 - 20 business days. Shipping is FREE to the Lower 48 States. We also ship to Alaska, Hawaii ($59.95), Canada ($64.95), and worldwide (cost emailed). You will receive a tracking number when it ships.

9. I currently use a Dampp Chaser Unit to safeguard my piano from humidity and temperature fluctuations. Should I still consider using a piano cover?

A piano cover is a great addition to your Dampp Chaser for maintaining optimal conditions for your instrument amidst changing humidity and temperatures. Rapid fluctuations can lead to tuning instability and negatively impact the wood’s integrity, particularly in humid climates. By also using a cover, you will help shield your piano from these environmental stresses.

Investing in one of our high-quality piano covers will not only extend the life of your instrument but it will also enhance its aesthetic appeal, making it a wise choice for any piano owner.
